Fresh, young, Lebanese

Chateau Musar 2008 Jeune Rouge, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon (13.5%)
$18.99 at Heights Chateau
A baby Musar! Cheerful and funky at the same time. It’s a blend of 60% Cinsault, 20% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from the famed Lebanese winery that usually releases its wines after a lot more bottle age. The red roasted fruits here are fresh without being tutti-frutti. I like my reds with very low, barely-there tannin, and this fits that bill.
